  17. Is there a program that will perform simple diagnostics on a modem?
  18. Like, tell you if it's hooked up and if it's accepting AT commands?

  20. I'm trying to advise a someone on getting a modem working.  They
  21. installed the modem and are using an older version of Kermit
  22. that is known to work.  They had it working before, to the extent
  23. that the modem was accepting and echoing AT commands, but now
  24. they can't even get that much to work.  Something must be different,
  25. and I don't know whether it's the modem or Kermit.  I'd like to
  26. verify that the modem is usable before trying anything further
  27. with Kermit.  Is there a way I can verify this?
